About Us

We are a well established team, all with a passion for our animals. We can advise and help you make the right choice for your needs. We even look after your pets whilst you go away, with our holiday boarding scheme! We also offer a "pay in instalments scheme", so you can pay weekly for your larger item to help spread the costs.

The Shop

The shop is divided into two buildings. The larger one with a polycarbonate roof, maintains a tropical environment to keep our livestock, and our staff, warm. The second newly aquired building, currently houses a large range of vivariums and aquariums. It will also shortly house our marine fish section.

Our Policy

Our policy is really simple - it's just about providing our customers with the pets that interest them, in a safe, well informed environment. We endeavour to source our livestock from well-trusted breeders both in the UK and Europe. We feel that owning an exotic animal should not mean that it is taken from its natural habitat. It should be an experience that makes us appreciate the natural wonders of our world. We adhere closely to RSPCA and DEFRA guidelines - so if your pet requires a license like certain tortoises, then thats exactly what you'll get from us.

Where are we?

From Canterbury we are on the left acouple of miles past Sturry railway crossing on the A291. From the main Thanet Way follow signs to Herne village and you'll find us on the right a mile after the village. We are on the same complex as "Wildwood" native animal wildlife park, on Wealden Forest Park - so you could cheat and follow their signs!
